As the 100th anniversary of the Rundell & Biddick Picnic approached a group formed to highlight the long history of the Rundell and Biddick families and their unique relationship that originated in Cornwall, England.  Since then this group has become the History Committee.  Today, this group meets most months to plan the annual picnic, organize historical data at the Wisconsin Room on the University of Wisconsin-Platteville campus, operate the web site and provide a contact center for the many Rundell and Biddick relatives.
Family history files

Thanks to the early interest and efforts of two family members, a treasure trove of Rundell and Biddick family information was gathered and organized over the years. Marcia Rundell Grindell began the process and Ruth Sue Allen learned from her and carried the process forward, giving the Rundell Biddick Association a wealth of family information that otherwise would have gone unrecorded.

After the passing of Ruth Sue Allen, her son, David Allen of Platteville, WI, transferred the files to the Rundell Biddick Association. There were about 10 file boxes of information.

In order to care for the files, a Family History Committee was formed to see that the files were preserved for future generations. The committee has worked diligently to catalog the files  There is additional work that needs to be done such as the indexing and the preservation of the photographs that were included in the files.

The files are currently being stored in the Wisconsin Room which is located in the basement of the Karrmann Library on the University of Wisconsin/Platteville Campus in Platteville, Wisconsin.

The collection of additional revelent family historical information is an on-going process.  The History Committee encourages the contribution of any and all family information.
